August 13, 2015: Thursday night was full of softball action at Lady Ram Field with three games total. Junior High led of the evening with two games and Varsity followed with its season/district opener vs. Muskogee.
In JH action, Payton Compton pitched a near perfect game, allowing only 3 hits in a 13-0 shut out of Muskogee in Game One. Emilee Norton started game two, but Owasso's offense fell silent in a 0-5 defeat.
In Varsity action, cold ice baths were needed cause the Lady Rams were on fire! Rams jumped out early in the 1st and 2nd inning, then Muskogee made it interesting in the 3rd by tying it up 6-6. However, the Lady Rams kept doing what they do best and unleashed a flurry of hard hits to win 13-6. To add topping to the cake, Sophomore Makenzie Goins decided to go ahead and hit a home run to keep the crowd alive!
Senior Jentri Sinor (1-0) went the distance for the Rams to record her first win of her senior year.
